The Arizona State Sun Devils opened as 10-point favorites against the Stanford Cardinal for a Friday battle of two teams on the rise.
Even with both teams coming off signature wins for their respective programs, the spread has expanded in ASU’s favor.
According to the FanDuel sportsbook as of Thursday morning, the Sun Devils are 13.5-point favorites for the Friday night game that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. MST.
DraftKings reflects that same line.
Bovada, BetNow, Sports Betting and Bet Online all have spreads at 13 points in favor of the Sun Devils, per OddsShark.
The game in Tempe might be a low-scoring affair — the over/under at FanDuel is 51.5 points.
According to OddsShark, the Cardinal have hit the under in five of their last six games on the road against ASU.
The Cardinal are also 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games. However, it’s a wash with ASU 5-1 against the spread in its last six Pac-12 games.
The No. 22 Sun Devils (4-1) are coming off a 42-23 win against the then-No. 20 UCLA Bruins that came by way of a dominating second half on both sides of the ball.
But Stanford (3-2) is arguably on a higher high after beating the No. 3 Oregon Ducks, 31-24, to put the entire conference’s College Football Playoff hopes on life support.
