The Arizona Cardinals placed offensive lineman Justin Murray on the injured reserve Friday due to a back injury.
A corresponding move has yet to be made by the team.
Murray was ruled out of Week 5’s contest with the San Francisco 49ers before it was announced he was on the IR.
The lineman injured suffered a back injury in the team’s 31-19 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. Murray started at right guard after Josh Jones was moved over to right tackle with Kelvin Beachum ruled out with a ribs issue.
He practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday before missing the rest of the week.
With Murray out and Beachum questionable for Sunday’s game against the 49ers, backup guard Max Garcia could be in line for extended reps similar to last week.
Garcia got his first start of the season at guard on Sunday after Beachum was ruled out ahead of the matchup with the ribs injury.
