ASU QB Jayden Daniels opens scoring vs. Stanford with 51-yard TD run

TEMPE — No. 22 Arizona State wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in Friday night’s 28-10 victory against the Stanford Cardinal at Sun Devil Stadium.
After getting three first downs on ASU’s opening drive, junior quarterback Jayden Daniels tucked it and ran for a 51-yard touchdown run.
It also marks the longest rush for the QB in his Sun Devils career.

Arizona State’s opening drive lasted 4:20 and totaled 87 yards on nine plays, 73 of which came on the ground.
Daniels finished the game with 76 yards rushing on 13 carries (7.8 per attempt).
The Sun Devils scored touchdowns on their first three possessions after going 6-for-7 on third downs in the first half.
