Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton is helping fans attend the WNBA Finals.
The Phoenix Mercury clinched a spot in the Finals for the first time since 2014 after defeating the Las Vegas Aces 87-84 in Game 5 of the semifinals on Friday Night.
Ayton purchased 500 tickets to Game 1 on Sunday, when the Mercury take on the Chicago Sky at the Footprint Center.
Fans can claim them at the arena on a first-come, first-serve basis on Sunday morning starting at 10:30 a.m. The game will tip-off at noon.

This move by Ayton comes after Suns point guard Chris Paul purchased 500 tickets to Game 3 of the Mercury’s series against Las Vegas.
It is also not the first time Ayton has purchased hundreds of Mercury playoff tickets for fans. He bought 300 in 2018.
This year marks the first time since 2002 when a city’s NBA and WNBA team made the Finals in the same calendar year, per ESPN Stats & Info. The Los Angeles Lakers and Sparks were the last team to do so.
The Suns and Mercury have a supportive relationship, and the Suns have been all in on their title run. Many Suns players have attended games, worn Mercury gear and even thrown shirts to fans during timeouts.
