After Arizona State’s 28-10 win over Stanford on Friday night, the Sun Devils jumped four spots in the top 25 of the Associated Press college football poll, coming in at No. 18.

ASU was led to victory by another stellar defensive outing, as well as a potent rushing attack offensively.

The Sun Devils’ defense picked off Stanford quarterback Tanner McKee three times on Friday night, including a pick-six where Jack Jones made a lateral to DeAndre Pierce. The defense completely took the Cardinal ground game away, holding Stanford to just 13 rushing yards on 20 attempts.

It was a different story for ASU on the ground, as the Sun Devils ran for 255 yards on 44 attempts. Running back Rachaad White led the way, going for 96 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, while quarterback Jayden Daniels added 76 yards and a score of his own, a 51-yard rushing touchdown.

Joining the Sun Devils from the Pac-12 in the top 25 is No. 9 Oregon, who had a bye week.

There was a major shakeup in the college football landscape Saturday, when then-No. 1 Alabama lost on the road to then-unranked Texas A&M. It marked the end to the Crimson Tide’s 100-game winning streak over unranked opponents, as well as the first time coach Nick Saban has lost to a former assistant of his (Jimbo Fisher), where he was previously 24-0.

Joining Alabama, Penn State and BYU were other undefeated teams that fell on Saturday, where six teams in the top 25 lost.
