Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, GM Steve Keim test positive for COVID-19

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury and general manager Steve Keim have tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports.
The Cardinals announced Kingsbury, quarterbacks coach Cam Turner, and defensive tackle Zach Allen all tested positive for the virus, while NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport broke the news on Keim. All personnel will miss Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers will split head coaching duties while other offensive roles will be taken over by other members of the coaching staff, according to the team.
Earlier this week linebacker Chandler Jones and two other coaches tested positive for COVID-19, but the coaches were not named.

The NFL announced having four positives would require the team to go into intensive protocols, which was used last year to prevent major outbreaks of COVID-19.
Including Jones, this would put the Cardinals at five positive tests as of Friday.
Kingsbury said in September that Arizona’s roster was 100% fully vaccinated. The full coaching staff was vaccinated before training camp started.
The Cardinals (5-0) travel to Cleveland to face the Browns (3-2) at 1:05 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
