No. 18 Arizona State football is an underdog for just the second time this season.

The Sun Devils visit the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City Saturday night where Utah is a 1.5-point favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook.

ASU is 5-1 and enters on a three-game win streak with victories over Colorado, UCLA and Stanford. ASU’s commanding 42-23 win over the then-ranked Bruins was the program’s last matchup as underdogs.

When favored, ASU is 4-1 with a loss against BYU on the road.

Utah is 3-2 and 2-0 in conference play. The Utes took care of Washington State and USC during their last two games. They have only been an underdog once this season, last week against the Trojans.

ASU is 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games and Utah is 1-4 in its most recent five.

The moneyline for ASU is +100 and for Utah -122 on FanDuel.

The point total is 51.5 with the over moneyline at -106 and the under -114.

ASU averages 33.3 points per game and allows 16.17. The Utes score 30.8 points on average and surrender 23.

Only two ASU games have eclipsed 51 points this season, but three of Utah’s five have. The under has hit in eight of Arizona State’s last 12 games, according to OddsShark.

The first half spread is Utah -0.5 with a point total of 26.5.

The last time ASU played Utah was in 2019. The Sun Devils were 5-1 then too, but lost 21-3 to begin a four-game losing skid.

Sun Devils head coach Herm Edwards is 1-1 against the Utes.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will air live on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
