Already down starting tight end Maxx Williams, the Arizona Cardinals lost replacement Darrell Daniels to a hamstring injury on Sunday in a 37-14 win against the Cleveland Browns.
Arizona also lost nose tackle Rashard Lawrence to a calf injury. Neither player returned to the game.
The Cardinals turned to tight end Demetrius Harris with Daniels sidelined and also had Ross Travis available. Travis was elevated to the active roster from the practice squad on Saturday.
The team did not have newly acquired tight end Zach Ertz eligible to play on Sunday because he participated in a Thursday Night Football outing for his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, in Week 6 before being traded.
The 26-year-old Daniels has appeared in 23 games for Arizona over the past two years, making nine catches for 96 yards and a touchdown over that span.
Without Lawrence, the Cardinals made do without their top two nose tackles.
Veteran Corey Peters was placed on the COVID-19 reserve on Sunday before the game.
The team activated Jonathan Ledbetter with Peters’ move to the COVID-19 reserve and has heavily leaned on ends J.J. Watt, Leki Fotu and Jordan Phillips against the Browns.
