Phoenix Suns backup point guard Cameron Payne will not play in Saturday night’s matchup at the Portland Trail Blazers.
Payne has a right hamstring strain, according to the team’s injury report.
He played nearly 19 minutes off the bench in Phoenix’s Friday night victory against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Payne scored four points with three rebounds and four assists.
The Suns guard scored 10 points in Wednesday’s season opener against the Denver Nuggets.
Fellow Phoenix guard Landry Shamet is listed as probable for Saturday with right foot soreness.
The recently acquired Sun also has 14 points in two games, and he has made four of six three-point attempts.
