Arizona Diamondbacks reinstate reliever J.J. Putz from disabled list

The Arizona Diamondbacks officially reinstated reliever J.J. Putz from the 15-day disabled list Monday.
Putz, 36, suffered a dislocated pinkie finger and a small laceration trying to barehand a ground ball during the D-backs’ 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies Aug. 23.
The right-hander, who has made two trips to the DL in 2013, is 3-1 with a 2.43 ERA in 29 2/3 innings of work this season.
