After landing on the COVID-19 list on Monday, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams did not travel with the team to Arizona on Wednesday, reports the NFL Network’s Steve Wyche.
However, with Adams being vaccinated, he can’t be officially ruled out for Thursday night’s contest against the Cardinals. Adams will need to report a negative test on Wednesday, as well as Thursday before he could travel separately for the game.
Both test results must be received in Green Bay prior to any travel Adams makes by himself to the Valley.
The four-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro a season ago is third in the NFL with 744 receiving yards on 52 catches so far this season.
Since 2019 when Matt LaFleur became head coach in Green Bay, Adams has missed six games. Despite not having his favorite target in those games, quarterback Aaron Rodgers has still found a way to win, going 6-0.
On top of Adams’ status for Thursday night in question, the Packers will be without fellow wide receiver Allen Lazard, who is also on the COVID-19 list.
