Following the Arizona Cardinals’ 24-21 defeat to the Green Bay Packers Thursday night, quarterback Kyler Murray left the stadium in a walking boot, according to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss.
Murray appeared to suffer an injury to his left ankle during the Cardinals final drive of Thursday night’s game.

“I know he was sore today, and hopefully the next two or three days off will be good for him,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Friday. “We’ll see where he’s at next week.”
Just a play after the apparent injury, Murray threw an interception in the end zone which sealed the victory for Green Bay.
The benefit of playing on Thursday night means the Cardinals will get what could be considered a miniature bye week.
With the weekend off for the team, Murray will get three full days of rest at least before the Cardinals start their preparation for a Week 9 road trip to face the San Francisco 49ers.
