Baseball season is almost over.

At this time, we don’t know. But part of the history of this World Series has been written. As in, what player hit the first home run in this year’s Fall Classic?

Got us to thinking here in the Trivia Tuesday department about the last 25 players to hold that distinction. So yeah, that’s the theme of this week’s quiz — name the player who hit the first home run in the World Series each year over the last quarter century.

We’ve given you the year, reminded you of the matchup and the team and position for each player who slugged the first long ball. All you have to do is name the player.
