After missing Sunday’s 31-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers, the Arizona Cardinals activated wide receiver A.J. Green from the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Thursday.
Green landed on the COVID list on Nov. 3, along with Cardinals tight end Demetrius Harris. The duo was forced to sit out of the Cardinals’ Week 9 game in San Francisco.
In his first season in Arizona, Green has shown that he can still be productive after injuries limited him in his final few seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Through eight games this season, the veteran has reeled in 29 of his 43 targets for 456 yards and three touchdowns. Green has developed to be the team’s second option opposite wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
Additionally, the Cardinals placed long snapper Aaron Brewer on injured reserve with a forearm injury, as well as tight end David Wells (hand).
The Cardinals take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. Tune to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station for all the action.
