The Arizona Cardinals will be without running back Chase Edmonds for the next three weeks after he was placed on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, the team announced on Saturday.
With the extra roster space, Arizona is activating running back Tavien Feaster to the active roster.
Long snapper Beau Brinkley and wide receiver Greg Dortch were also elevated to the active roster from the practice squad.
Edmonds hurt his ankle in Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers. Tests after the game revealed he had suffered the high ankle sprain.
The fourth-year pro was inching his way to career highs in rushing attempts and yards on the season.
Edmonds has 430 yards on 76 attempts this season compared to his career highs of 97 attempts and 448 yards.
With Edmonds sidelined, expect more of the rushing workload to fall to James Connor and Eno Benjamin.
Benjamin scampered into the end zone against the 49ers for his first career touchdown in place of Edmonds.
