Tillman, whose statue is immortalized outside of State Farm Stadium, played for the Cardinals from 1998-01 before enlisting in the army in 2002. His 45th birthday would have been earlier this month on Nov. 6.
Jones is not new to honoring some of the late-great Cardinals. He was fined by the NFL during Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers for celebrating the franchise’s all-time sack record by showing an undershirt to honor the previous record-holder Freddie Joe Nunn.
The pass rusher is currently second on the team in sacks with six after missing two games, trailing only Markus Golden with nine. In 2020, Haason Reddick led all Cardinals with 12.5 sacks as Dennis Gardeck finished second with seven.
Catch all the action as the Cardinals host the Panthers at 2:05 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
