Report: Daniel Hudson signs minor league deal with Arizona Diamondbacks

Just last week, the Arizona Diamondbacks opted not to tender a contract to right-handed pitcher Daniel Hudson.
It wasn’t that the team didn’t want him back, they just couldn’t reach an agreement on a deal before the deadline expired.
Friday, the D-backs did sign Hudson, but to a minor league deal, according to various reports. No terms of the deal have been announced.
Hudson, 26, won 16 games in 2011, but had season-ending Tommy John surgery in July of 2012. While nearing a return to the big leagues in June, Hudson re-injured his elbow and underwent a second Tommy John surgery.
Arizona acquired Hudson from the Chicago White Sox in a deal that sent pitcher Edwin Jackson to the American League in July of 2010. In his career, Hudson is 28-17 in 58 Major League starts, with an ERA of 3.68.
