Arizona Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones continued his success in Seattle over the course of a 23-13 win over the Seahawks this past Sunday.
So much so that he was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 11. It marks his second honor this season following his nod in Week 1 after his five-sack outburst against the Tennessee Titans.
Jones has now taken home the DPOW hardware six times over his career, totaling five as a member of the Cardinals and passing Adrian Wilson (4) for the most in franchise history.
On the road against the Seahawks, Jones recorded 2.0 sacks, two tackles for loss, three QB hits and a forced fumble as his team moved to 9-2, the best record in football, heading into a bye.
The linebacker was one of three players to put up at least 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble in a winning effort in Week 11.
Jones has been a problem more times than not in Seattle, amassing 12.5 sacks over six career games in the Pacific Northwest, good enough for 10th all-time at the venue that first opened back in 2002. He is the only player on the list that has never played for the Seahawks.
Through nine games in 2021, Jones has recorded eight sacks, eight tackles for losses and 20 sacks. Just five players in the NFL have recorded at least 8.0 sacks and 20 QB hits this season.
Jones (Week 1 and Week 11) joins quarterback Kyler Murray (Week 2), cornerback Byron Murphy (Week 3) and kicker Matt Prater (Week 6) who have won an NFL weekly honor in 2021.
