The Arizona State Sun Devils opened as 19.5-point favorites against rival Arizona for Saturday’s Territorial Cup matchup, the oldest rivalry trophy in college football.

According to the FanDuel Sportsbook as of Thursday afternoon, the Sun Devils are 20.5-point favorites for the rivalry game that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. MST.

Draftkings shows a slightly better line in favor of the Sun Devils at -20.

The over/under opened at 52.5 on FanDuel, but has jumped one point to 53.5.

Arizona State has hit the over of more than 52.5 points in four of 10 games this season.

ASU vs. Arizona’s rivalry is one that, regardless of records, means a whole lot inside the state of Arizona.

The Sun Devils have won four straight games and five of the last six. Whether it was a 70-7 demolition in 2020, or a 19-point fourth quarter rally in Tucson in 2017, ASU has had the upper hand as of late.

Although the Sun Devils have fallen well short of season expectations at 7-4 (5-3), Las Vegas oddsmakers predict this year’s matchup to follow the same trend.

The Wildcats (1-10) have won one game in their last 23 tries, yet have played better football relative to the beginning of the season. In games against Washington and USC, Arizona lost by five and seven before getting a 10-point win against Cal.

Tune in to UofA-ASU at 2 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN 620 AM and 98.7 FM HD-2.
