Betting odds: Streaking Suns are big underdogs vs. Warriors

Eighteen wins in a row and a Tuesday victory against the Warriors isn’t enough for the Phoenix Suns to be considered favorites for a Friday road rematch at Golden State.
In fact, Phoenix is a heavy underdog for the 8 p.m. game that will air on ESPN and 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
The Suns as of Friday morning are 7.5-point underdogs at the FanDuel Sportsbook.
DraftKings has the line a tad lower at 7 points, while it’s slipping below 7 at some sportsbooks tallied by OddsShark.
The over/under across several betting services is between a total of 216 and 217, and the Suns have hit the over in six of their past eight games.
Why might the Warriors be heavy favorites?
Phoenix is finishing off a back-to-back with travel. It beat the Detroit Pistons 114-103 on Thursday in Phoenix, setting a new franchise record of 18 straight wins.
Before that game, the Suns defeated the Warriors at the Footprint Center on Tuesday, 104-96. It was the first time in a 43-game stretch that Golden State had not crossed the 100-point barrier.
Phoenix lost starting guard Devin Booker to a hamstring injury in the first half of the win Tuesday, and he will be out for the rematch three days later.
The Warriors will get reinforcements with wing Damion Lee expected to return from a G League rehab assignment that followed time off due to the birth of his son.
