Arizona Cardinals wide receiver A.J. Green joined an elite group in Monday night’s 30-23 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Green eclipsed the 10,000-yard mark in his career to bring him into the top 50 for the most receiving yards ever in NFL history, according to the ESPN MNF broadcast.
“It’s a great milestone,” Green said after the game. “But I got my whole life to celebrate my accomplishment.
“Right now I’m just focused on winning and getting back to work. But this is a big moment for me.”
Green also joins teammate DeAndre Hopkins, Tennessee Titans WR Julio Jones and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Antonio Brown as the only active players to achieve that feat.
The Cardinals wide receiver finished with seven catches on 10 targets for 102 yards (14.5 yards per catch) against the Rams at State Farm Stadium.
His seven grabs on the night tied a season-high.
One of his best catches of the night came on this scramble play by Murray that resulted in a 23-yard gain for the Cardinals.
