DeAndre Hopkins, James Conner limp off at end of Cardinals’ loss to Rams

The Cardinals’ 30-23 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football could not have ended much worse for Arizona.
Both wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and running back James Conner were seen limping off the field in the last two possessions of the game.
However, Conner told reporters after that game that he was fine when asked about his injury.
“I’m not worried about anything,” he said. “Just late in the game, the last play I caught, just got dragged down. Just some minor soreness. I’ll be okay. I don’t fear nothing.”

At the end of the Cardinals’ second-to-last drive, Hopkins went up for a jump ball and looked to be shaken up after the play. He was not in for Arizona’s last drive, a Hail Mary-type of situation in which Hopkins has been utilized for in the past.
“I’m not exactly sure exactly what it was,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury said of Hopkins after the game. “It didn’t appear too serious but I have to check on that.”
Conner was limping after catching a Kyler Murray pass for nine yards with 26 seconds remaining.
The running back got up slowly before limping to his spot in the formation for the next play. He stayed in for that play, the game’s last, but hardly moved before limping back to the locker room after Murray was sacked to end the game.
Hopkins missed three games for the Cardinals from Weeks 9-11 because of a hamstring issue while Conner has yet to be out for Arizona.
Conner recorded his 15th and 16th total touchdowns of the season in the defeat. He ended the night with 13 catches for 31 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, plus a team-high nine catches and 94 yards receiving.
Hopkins recorded five receptions for 54 yards.
