Coming off a 1-11 season, head coach Jedd Fisch aims to show that a full year of effort on the recruiting front will swing momentum in a positive direction for the Arizona Wildcats.

With the early signing period and February National Signing Day now past, the on-paper results look promising.

The Wildcats as of Thursday have the second-ranked class in the Pac-12 and the No. 24 overall class nationally, according to 247 Sports. Last year, Arizona’s class ranked 77th in the country.

Fisch and staff have recruited the high school ranks heavily after leaning on the transfer portal for the 2021 class — that was necessary last offseason due to Fisch taking the open Arizona job in late December 2020.

Considering Arizona’s record this past year, it’s safe to say there are no priorities in this recruiting class, though Fisch has put efforts in familiarizing himself in the state of Arizona, as well as hitting California hard. He needs talent, and the new talent could have the benefit of learning on the job in 2022.

In addition to the 22-man high school signing class, Arizona has remained busy in the transfer portal with seven additions.

They’ve added four transfers from Pac-12 schools, including former Washington State starting quarterback Jayden de Laura. Their top-ranked transfer is receiver Jacob Cowing, who piled up 1,354 receiving yards at UTEP last year and is an in-state prospect from Maricopa High School.

Below you’ll find a running list of players who’ve signed letters of intent on Wednesday and their composite rankings. It will be updated through early signing day.
