The Arizona Cardinals announced on Wednesday that the team has signed cornerback Breon Borders from the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad.
Borders has appeared in 11 games for the Titans this year, recording five total tackles and two passes defensed.
He had his best year in 2020 with Tennessee where he started five games and tallied 27 tackles.
The undrafted free agent from Duke joined the then-Oakland Raiders in 2017.
He has appeared in 30 career games, totaling 38 tackles (31 solo), one interception, eight passes defensed and one fumble recovery in that time.
Borders has also seen time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Football Team.
The addition comes in response to Cardinals starting cornerback Robert Alford being added to the injury report with a pectoral injury.
Alford had missed the previous season due to a pectoral tear.
Arizona has also designated tight end David Wells to return from the injured reserve list following a hand injury.
Wells made his only appearance of the year in the Cardinals’ Week 9 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
