The Arizona Coyotes vs. Vancouver Canucks game on Sunday has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns within Vancouver’s organization.

The Canucks are now up to six players in COVID-19 protocols.

The NHL is dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak, as the league announced on Friday that not only would the Calgary Flames’ period of postponement be extended, but the Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers will also be postponed through Dec. 26.

The Coyotes’ next opponent would be the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday, whose game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns inside Toronto’s locker room.

The league also announced Saturday that stricter COVID-19 protocols will be put in place such as resuming daily testing. The protocols will be effective Jan. 1 and reevaluated within a week as the NHL has until Jan. 10 to opt-out of the Winter Olympics in Beijing without financial repercussions, according to the league.

Arizona is coming off a 6-5 overtime win over the Anaheim Ducks and is now 6-21-2 with 14 points on the year.
