The Arizona Cardinals are expecting running back James Conner (ankle) and tight end Zach Ertz (hamstring) both to play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, according to reports.
Conner, who signed a one-year contract this offseason, has stepped up mightily in Chase Edmonds’ absence.
He has 964 total rushing and receiving yards as well as 16 touchdowns, just behind Los Angeles Chargers’ Austin Eckler at 17 and Arizona’s Christmas Day opponent, Indianapolis Colts’ Jonathon Taylor, at 19.
Ertz was listed as limited in Friday’s practice and questionable for Sunday’s game, but according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he will be ready to go for the Cardinals.

It was also announced on Saturday that receiver DeAndre Hopkins was placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery for a MCL injury.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the team could potentially get the superstar back by the NFC Championship game or Super Bowl.
Arizona will also be without cornerback Robert Alford due to a pectoral injury and center Rodney Hudson after he was placed on the COVID-19 list this week.
