Things went from bad to worse for the Arizona Cardinals in Sunday’s 30-12 road loss to the Lions in Detroit.
Already trailing 24-6 at Ford Field, the team announced that defensive lineman Jordan Phillips will miss the remainder of the game due to a knee injury.
It’s unclear as to when and what exactly Phillips injured.
Cardinals sideline reporter Paul Calvisi reported that the DL walked to the locker room under his own power after being evaluated in the blue medical tent.
The injury woes just keep mounting up for the Cardinals.
Coming into Sunday’s contest, Arizona was already without All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) and cornerback Robert Alford (pectoral) due to the injury bug.
Detroit finished with 338 yards of total offense on the day, 126 of which came on the ground and 216 from the arm of Lions quarterback Jared Goff.
The loss marks the first back-to-back defeats for Arizona on the 2021 season.
It also snaps the Cardinals’ perfect road record this year at 7-1.
Arizona now finds itself with a 10-4 record heading into the final three games of the regular season.
