The Arizona State women’s basketball game at Desert Financial Arena against UC Irvine has been moved to the team’s practice facility due to a power issue on ASU’s campus, while a men’s game set to follow it Tuesday has been canceled for the same reason.
The women’s game will take place at the Weatherup Center at noon as scheduled, but fans will not be able to attend.
The men’s basketball game against Florida A&M was scheduled for 3 p.m.
Both the Rattlers and Sun Devils men’s teams mutually opted to cancel their game.
ASU ‘s men’s team (5-7) is coming off a 66-65 loss to San Francisco on Sunday that ended a three-game winning streak. The Sun Devils had strung together victories at Oregon, against Grand Canyon and at Creighton prior to the loss.
Florida A&M (2-9) is currently on a five-game skid and in the heart of a six-game stretch away from home in Tallahassee, Fla. The Rattlers last took a 73-62 loss at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.
Arizona State’s men’s team will take more than a week off before taking the court and re-entering Pac-12 play on Dec. 30 at the currently eighth-ranked USC Trojans.
After facing UC Irvine, the Sun Devil women (6-5) will be off until a New Year’s Eve visit to UCLA.
