The Arizona Cardinals signed linebacker Joe Walker to the active roster, the team announced Tuesday.
Additionally, Arizona has released tight end David Wells and signed linebacker Nate Hall to the practice squad.
Walker has been a near-regular call up from the practice squad this season, recording five tackles over nine games played in 2021.
The linebacker has been used mostly on special teams, garnering at least 70% of snaps.
In the team’s 30-12 loss to the Detroit Lions, Walker played a season-high 92% of special teams snaps (23).
Hall rejoins the practice squad after being cut last Tuesday. Last season, the linebacker played 10 games with the Houston Texans, recording five tackles, 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble, one tackle for loss and six special teams tackles.
Wells (hand) was designated to return from the injured reserve on last Wednesday and was activated from the IR on Monday. The tight end saw his only action in Week 9, where he registered an offensive snap.
