The Arizona Cardinals have added punter Ryan Winslow to the practice squad, one day after placing starter Andy Lee on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Arizona also re-signed tight end David Wells to the practice squad after releasing him on Tuesday.
Although Lee was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, he still has a chance to play on Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts, according to Darren Urban.
Winslow will be used as an emergency option in case Lee does not record a negative COVID-19 test prior to Christmas Day.
Winslow appeared in two games for the Cardinals in 2019 and spent time with the team in preseason.
He punted in two games for the Carolina Panthers this season after spending most of 2020 with the Green Bay Packers practice squad.
Wells was released by the Cardinals after being activated from injured reserve.
He played in one game with the Cardinals earlier this season after joining the team originally on Oct. 20.
The Cardinals host the Colts on Christmas Day, Saturday at State Farm Stadium.
You can listen to the game live starting with a 6:15 p.m. kickoff on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
