Arizona Cardinals cornerback Marco Wilson left Saturday night’s Christmas Day game against the Indianapolis Colts with a shoulder injury.

Wilson did not return in the 22-16 loss.

The Cardinals CB was called for defensive pass interference against Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman, when Wilson landed hard after the play.

“He has a shoulder, so I have to check and see. I haven’t heard any more on it,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury said postgame.

Taking a few moments down on the ground, Wilson got up holding his shoulder.

After being checked out by the Cardinals’ trainers, he got up on his own power.

Wilson, a fourth-round draft pick from Florida, has cemented his role in the Cardinals’ secondary after injuries and the sudden retirement of Malcolm Butler before the season.

The rookie has started 12 games for the Cardinals at cornerback.

Wilson has 45 tackles to go with four passes defensed as he is still awaiting his first career interception.
