Pro Football Focus’ list of top 100 prospects for the 2022 NFL Draft features two Arizona State offensive linemen in tackle Kellen Diesch and guard/center Dohnovan West.
Diesch comes in first at No. 66 on the 2022 big board. The graduate student had the 18th-highest PFF grade for offensive tackles in Power Five conferences and second in the Pac-12 on the season.
“Diesch was one of the highest-graded Power Five tackles in the country this past season and really never got taken advantage of in pass protection,” PFF’s Michael Renner said. “He allowed multiple pressures only once this season and allowed all of seven all year long.”
He was credited with four QB pressures allowed in 2021, which ranked fourth-lowest in Power Five.
West joins his teammate on the list at No. 80. The offensive lineman never missed a regular-season game in his three-year Arizona State career, playing as both a guard and center in that time, including starting as a true freshman.
“West has been starting ever since his freshman year in 2019,” Renner said. “While he played guard last year, West starred at center this season and likely profiles best to there in the NFL.”
The junior’s unique ability to not only play multiple positions, but both pass and run block, have him projected to leave college a year early and enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
West will not be featured in this year’s bowl game as he deals with a hand injury and prepares for the NFL Draft.
The Sun Devils face off against Wisconsin in the Las Vegas Bowl on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
