The Arizona Cardinals activated punter Andy Lee off of the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday, the team announced.

Additionally, the team designated linebackers Ezekiel Turner and Tanner Vallejo to return from the injured reserve.

Lee was placed on the COVID-19 list last Wednesday after reportedly testing positive for the virus.

Not only will Lee return to his normal punting practices, he will once again take over holding duties on field goals after the team had to roll out multiple holders in Saturday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The bad holds led to a rough day for kicker Matt Prater, who ended up missing two field goals and an extra point in the defeat.

Punter Ryan Winslow was one of those holders, and the team released him from the practice squad on Wednesday with Lee now back in the fold.

It’s a positive sign for the Cardinals, who saw linebacker Markus Golden, offensive lineman Sean Harlow and cornerback Breon Borders head to the COVID-19 list in the span of two days.

As for Turner and Vallejo, the team has now 21 days to activate the duo, who can begin practicing immediately, off of the IR.

Turner was originally placed on the IR on Oct. 13 with a shoulder issue, while Vallejo headed to the IR on Nov. 20 due to a knee injury.

Mostly used as a special teamer to start the season, Vallejo saw an increase in defensive snaps from Weeks 7-10 before going down with the injury.

Turner has proven to be one of the team’s best options in special teams, playing no less than 71% of special teams snaps before going down with his shoulder issue in Week 5.

The Cardinal take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at 2:25 p.m. Tune to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station for all the action.
