While it’s still early on in the Arizona Cardinals’ week of preparation for the Dallas Cowboys, at least two players’ statuses are already figuring to be come down to Sunday.

Injured running back James Conner and wide receiver Rondale Moore will probably be game-day decisions, per Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

Both Conner and Moore missed the team’s Christmas Day loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday with a heel and ankle injury, respectively.

On Wednesday, neither took part during the open portion of practice, though Moore did stretch with the team.

“They’re day to day, didn’t do much today,” Kingsbury said. “We’ll see how they feel tomorrow, Friday.

“We’d love to get them back out there but it’ll probably be a game-time decision on both guys.”

While Chase Edmonds played well Saturday, the change-of-pace and bullying presence Conner brings to the rushing attack was greatly missed.

Despite missing Week 16’s matchup, Conner still sits second in the NFL behind only the Colts’ Jonathan Taylor (17) for the most rushing scores in the league with 14.

And with No. 1 wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins sidelined for the rest of the regular season, on top of the team’s desire to spread the wealth among multiple pass catchers, Moore’s absence was felt in the loss.

Moore has quietly put up the second-most receptions on the Cardinals (54) to go along with 435 yards and a touchdown. He’s also been used in the running game, carrying the football 18 times for 76 yards, and as a near daily returner on special teams.

The Cardinals take on the Cowboys on Sunday at 2:25 p.m. Catch all the action live on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
