You gotta love when a wacky bowl game sponsorship embraces itself, and folks, we have not seen a better example of that than the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
Thursday morning’s showdown between South Carolina and North Carolina included a handful of moments with the brand being involved, thanks in large part to the bowl’s excellent Twitter page.
That seems to have everyone sort of joining in on the fun.
The coaches postgame are aware that following a trophy presentation, they will be doused Gatorade-bath style in watered-down mayonnaise.
Here is what they had to say about it beforehand.

Wow, Mack. Settle down.
Speaking of not settling down, here is a South Carolina cheerleader getting the Duke’s Mayo Bowl version of orange slices with a quick snack break of mayonnaise.

ESPN’s commentary duo of Anish Shroff and Mike Golic Jr. dunked Oreos in mayo. Golic handled it well while his partner did not.

The pair has brought the mayo-infused energy as well, even into the calling of the game.
