It’s no secret Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has a stellar record when playing at AT&T Stadium.
Entering the matchup 8-0, Murray once again found success in a familiar setting, picking up an impressive ninth victory and eighth as a starter in the stadium since his high school days.
They say everything’s bigger in Texas. Apparently that doesn’t stop at records.
“Coming home, me personally, I can’t lose coming home, that’s the mentality,” Murray told reporters after the game. “That’s how I feel. It’s not just about the mentality. It’s about coming out and executing. I don’t know what it is.
“It’s a great stadium, the fans, I don’t know what it is. When you come back to Cowboys Stadium, it’s a big time game. That’s the feel around it. The guys, I’m glad they had my back today.”
It was a get-right game for Murray, who saw his completion percentage tick back up to just over 68%, a mark he hadn’t hit over the team’s previous three losses. He threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns while adding nine rushes for 44 yards in the victory on Sunday.
As an NFL signal caller, Murray has now tossed four scores and 451 yards in two victories at Jerry World. He’s sporting a 100.9 QBR and has only been sacked twice.
“I forgot who I was telling, another player on our team who is from Texas, pulling up to the stadium, I don’t know how to describe it, just brings back memories,” Murray said of returning to AT&T Stadium. “It just feels right.”
