The Arizona Cardinals placed linebacker Tanner Vallejo and defensive tackle Zach Kerr on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions report.

Vallejo was activated from the Injured Reserve/Designated for return list on Saturday ahead of the Cardinals’ matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

The linebacker posted one solo tackle while playing 16% of the defensive snaps (10 plays) and 69% of the special teams snaps (18 plays) in the 25-22 win at AT&T Stadium.

Kerr has been inactive since Week 13’s 33-22 road win over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

It wasn’t all bad news for the Cardinals, however, as the additions mark a busy day for Arizona when it comes to the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Cardinals activated linebackers Markus Golden and Devon Kennard, cornerback Breon Borders and offensive lineman D.J. Humphries from the aforementioned list.

The return of multiple key starters will aid Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s goal of getting hot going into the playoffs.

If Arizona can beat the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams lose to the San Francisco 49ers in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday, then the Cardinals will win the NFC West division crown and host a postseason game for the first time since 2015.
