The Arizona Cardinals released cornerback Breon Borders ahead of Monday night’s Wild Card round game against the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced Sunday.
Borders was signed by the Cardinals on Dec. 15 from the Tennessee Titans practice squad to help out with depth in the secondary.
The corner played in 11 games for the Titans in 2021, prior to joining Arizona.
The four-year veteran played in Week 18 for the Cardinals in the 38-30 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Borders played 18 defensive snaps, tallying three total tackles but struggled against the Seahawks’ pass-catchers, giving up a touchdown to Tyler Lockett.
The Cardinals are hopeful rookie cornerback Marco Wilson will be able to return to the lineup on Monday night against the Rams after missing the last two games with a shoulder injury.
Wilson was a full participant in Saturday’s practice and is questionable for Monday.
The Cardinals and Rams will kickoff at 6:15 p.m. from SoFi Stadium and will air on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
