The Cincinnati Bengals signed defensive lineman Zach Kerr off of the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad on Wednesday.
The signing comes as the Bengals prepare to take on the Tennessee Titans in Round 2 of the playoffs.
Kerr was elevated for the Cardinals’ Wild Card matchup on Monday and reverted back to the practice squad on Tuesday.
The lineman played three games with the Cardinals this season, recording three tackles. He played no more than 34% of defensive snaps.
It marked his second stint with the team, originally signing with Arizona in 2019. He played 12 games that season, recording 19 tackles, two QB hits and a pass deflection.
Before joining the Cardinals in 2021, Kerr spent time with the San Francisco 49ers. In four games, he picked up three tackles.
Kerr was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Delaware in 2014. He played three seasons with the Colts before joining the Denver Broncos for two seasons. He also played for the Carolina Panthers in 2020.
In 95 career games (16 starts), Kerr recorded 166 tackles, 9.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
