There’s a reason why they call it a rivalry.

The Territorial Cup between the Arizona State Sun Devils and Arizona Wildcats is the oldest rivalry trophy in college football, dating all the way back to the 19th century.

And on Tuesday, yet another billboard was put up to remind those driving from Tucson to the Valley of ASU’s five-game winning streak over Arizona:

If you’ve driven northbound on Interstate 10 just outside of Tucson in the last two years, the signage may look familiar to you.

That’s because the new “nothing personal” adage is replacing the “no pity for the kitty” sign following Arizona State’s 70-7 win in 2020.

The Sun Devils have gotten the better of the Wildcats each of the last five years, which includes the last four with head coach Herm Edwards at the helm.

This season saw Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch’s first crack at the Territorial Cup, but that resulted in a 38-15 win for ASU.

The 2022 edition of the rivalry will revert back to a Friday matchup, which will take place at Arizona Stadium in Tucson on Nov. 25.
