The Arizona State Sun Devils will now be hosting the Arizona Wildcats at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
ASU announced the schedule change on Monday after the original game slated for Jan. 8 was postponed due to health and safety protocols within the Sun Devils’ program.
The first meeting between the two teams this season will come on Saturday in Tucson.
No. 3 Arizona hosts Arizona State at the McKale Memorial Center at 12:30 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
The Wildcats (16-1) are on an absolute tear in Pac-12 play with a perfect 6-0 record despite forward Azuolas Tubelis suffering an ankle injury in the 85-57 win over Stanford on Thursday.
He missed the 96-71 win over Cal on Sunday and is listed as day-to-day.
The Sun Devils (6-10; 2-4) are coming off of a heartbreaking 79-76 loss to Stanford that featured Arizona State coming back from a 15-point deficit.
The defeat in Palo Alto saw ASU head coach Bobby Hurley receive a one-game suspension and a $20,000 fine for his role in a postgame altercation with referees after the Cardinal outshot the Sun Devils 41-9 from the free throw line.
Arizona State guard Jay Heath was also suspended one game for making contact with an official.
Both teams will face a tough road battle in Los Angeles before their matchup in Tucson on Saturday.
ASU will face No. 15 USC on Monday at 9 p.m. on ESPN 620 AM or 98.7 FM HD-2, while Arizona tips off against No. 9 UCLA on Tuesday at 9 p.m.
