The moment fans at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open were waiting all week for finally happened on Saturday during the third round.
On the tee at the infamous 16th hole of TPC Scottsdale, it took Sam Ryder just one swing.

From 124 yards, it was a silky wedge from Ryder that sent the crowd at No. 16 into a frenzy.
Moments after, the green was covered in beer cans in support of Ryder.

It’s safe to say there was a bit of cleanup on the 16th green following Ryder’s ace. It was the first ace at 16 since Francesco Molinari did it in 2015.
For Ryder, you couldn’t pick a better time to have a hole-in-one, his first on the PGA Tour no less. He moved to 6 under for the tournament following his big swing.
No pressure for the next man up on the tee box.
