ASU basketball’s hot hand from 3 blows lid off Colorado in road win

The Arizona State Sun Devils were as hot as can be in Thursday night’s 82-65 blowout win over the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder.
ASU finished the game shooting 49.2% from the field (30-of-61) but hit a whopping nine threes on 17 attempts (52.9%).
Sun Devils guard Jay Heath led the way with 18 points, six of which came from beyond the arc.
Marreon Jackson, Luther Muhammad and D.J. Horne all hit two three-pointers apiece for Arizona State.
That quartet combined for eight of the team’s nine three-pointers and 58 of the Sun Devils’ 82 points on the night.
ASU forward Jalen Graham added 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and one block.
Arizona State’s defense held Colorado to a lowly 21-of-54 shooting from the field (38.9%) and an even worse 25.9% clip from three on 7-of-27 attempts.
The Buffaloes did manage to win the free throw battle at 16-13, but the Sun Devils dominated the glass at a 37-26 mark.
