Phoenix Suns guard Aaron Holiday is active for Sunday’s game against the Utah Jazz after missing one contest due to right ankle soreness.
Holiday was ruled questionable on Saturday, and head coach Monty Williams told reporters “We’ll see” regarding his status on Sunday.
The Suns acquired the 25-year-old from the Washington Wizards at the trade deadline in exchange for cash considerations and a trade exception.
Holiday played four games for his new team before missing Friday’s meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans.
He scored 8.5 points in 16.2 minutes per game in the four contests, and he could be a key contributor with point guard Chris Paul out due to a fractured right thumb.
Cameron Payne, Frank Kaminsky and Dario Saric all remain out for Phoenix.
Jazz forward Rudy Gay will play after he was deemed questionable with an illness not related to COVID-19. Guard Jared Butler is out for Utah with a right ankle sprain.
Phoenix hosts the Jazz at 1:30 p.m. The action will air on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
