The Arizona State Sun Devils hired Dave Boller on Friday as a player personnel assistant to their support staff.

Boller attended ASU from 1980-84, was the equipment manager from 1985-87 and finally the football operations/assistant to head coach from 1988-95 under head coach Bruce Snyder.

“Being a native Arizonan and having spent the first 15 of my almost 40-year career at ASU, both as a student and as a football staff member, I could not be more pleased to be returning home,” Boller said in a press release.

“I cannot imagine a better place to be. I first met Coach Herm Edwards in Tampa Bay when I was a young scout and I have always admired his love for the game of football and his enthusiasm for the players. I am so excited to begin working with Coach Edwards and (associate AD) Andy Vaughn at ASU.”

He most recently worked as the assistant director of player personnel with the Dallas Renegades in the XFL as well as the general manager of the San Diego Fleet in the AAF in 2019.
