The Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday are hosting free agent receiver Malik Turner, who spent last season with the Dallas Cowboys, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
The 26-year-old was used sparingly by Dallas a season ago, appearing in 10% of their offensive snaps (126) but also nearly half of their special teams plays.
The 6-foot-2 wideout made 12 catches for 149 yards and three touchdowns on 16 targets.
Prior, he played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2018-19. In his second NFL season with Seattle, Turner recorded 15 catches for 245 yards and a touchdown.
He is perhaps most well-known, however, for dropping a catch in the fourth quarter of an NFC Divisional Round game when the Seahawks trailed the Green Bay Packers by five points with four minutes left.
Turner was an undrafted free agent out of Illinois when he entered the league with Seattle. After his time with the Seahawks, he spent time in camp with the Green Bay Packers before joining the Cowboys during the 2020 season, when he did not record a catch.
Arizona remains in the market for receivers after losing Christian Kirk via free agency. While second-year man Rondale Moore figures to slide into a more prominent slot role, the Cardinals do not have a No. 2 outside receiver signed with free agent A.J. Green still in the market.
Beyond No. 1 receiver DeAndre Hopkins and Moore, Arizona has Greg Dortch and Andre Baccellia signed. Third-year man Andy Isabella remains under contract but reportedly has requested a trade after making a single catch last season.
