Kolb: Season is a marathon, not a sprint

Kevin Kolb has now been the starting quarterback for the Cardinals exactly one time in the 2012 season and in that start, he led his team to an improbable 20-18 win over the New England Patriots. With the win, Arizona is undefeated but Kolb knows they have a long way to go.
“The most important thing is that we’re 2-0 and we’re in good position right now. But like we said this morning, it’s like a marathon, there’s a big group of us right now,” Kolb said Monday.
The Cardinals know it’s all about how you finish the season, not how you start. Arizona has won nine of their last 11 dating back to 2011, which is why Kolb wasn’t jumping up and down about the 2-0 start.
“It’s who can outlast this thing and not get too high or low throughout the beginning of the season and then week 10 or 12, then see where you’re at,” he said.
The Cardinals will face another undefeated team in the Philadelphia Eagles at University of Phoenix Stadium Sunday.
