The Phoenix Suns come into the first round of the Western Conference playoffs as heavy favorites over the New Orleans Pelicans.

And they should.

The Suns are coming off of the greatest regular season in franchise history with a record of 64-18.

That record not only awarded Phoenix homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs, but also finished eight games better than the next best team in the NBA — something even the 73-9 Golden State Warriors can’t say.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Suns at -1350 odds to beat the New Orleans Pelicans in the Western Conference quarterfinals.

That giant number means that a $10 bet would only win you a measly 41 cents and a $100 wager would garner just $7.41 in profit.

The series spread is set at Phoenix -2.5 games with -184 odds, meaning the Suns would have to win the series in five or fewer games in order to win the series by three or more games (4-0 or 4-1).

For Sunday’s Game 1 specifically, the Suns are a 10-point favorite over the Pelicans at Footprint Center with odds at -115 for Phoenix to win by 11 or more points. A 10-point victory would be a push, meaning you just get your wager amount back.

The moneyline to win the game outright is currently at -550 for the Suns and +410 for the Pelicans while the over/under for the point total is set at 224.5.

The Suns host the Pelicans in Game 1 at Footprint Center on Sunday at 6 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
