The first contest of a four-game series between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Washington Nationals set for Monday was postponed due to inclement weather.
The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, as the two sides will play a doubleheader at Nationals Park.
The makeup game will start at 10:05 a.m., while the originally scheduled 4:05 p.m. ballgame remains as planned.
Madison Bumgarner was set to pitch for the D-backs on Monday for his third start of the year. He allowed one run over five innings against the Houston Astros last Tuesday.
Merrill Kelly is after Bumgarner in the rotation.
The D-backs, 3-6, dropped two of three games over the weekend at Citi Field against the New York Mets and are seeking their first series victory of the season.
The Nationals are also looking for a bounce-back performance after losing three of four games against the Pittsburgh Pirates to fall to 4-7.
The weather for Tuesday’s action is forecasted to be windy with temperatures in the high 40s-low 50s.
Catch Tuesday’s games on ESPN 620 AM / 98.7 FM HD-2.
