The Arizona Cardinals are hosting Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks and Sam Houston State wideout Jequez Ezzard for visits this week, reports NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

In 12 games as a junior last season, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Burks reeled in 66 catches for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns (all team highs). He also rushed 14 times for 112 yards and a score.

NFL Network draft analyst Lance Zierlein’s NFL comparison for Burks is Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown but with more wiggle.

Big, smooth and natural, Burks possesses the versatility to operate from wherever you want and get to wherever you need no matter the competition. He’s a mismatch receiver combining size, strength and competitiveness similar to the Titans’ A.J. Brown, but his speed testing at the NFL Scouting Combine did not meet expectations. Arkansas benefitted by putting the ball in his hands from a variety of alignments and there is no reason to believe NFL play-callers won’t benefit from doing the same.

In Mel Kiper Jr.’s latest mock draft released last Wednesday, the ESPN draft analyst has the Cardinals nabbing Burks at No. 23 and highlights his ability to be used in different roles.

Ezzard enters the draft after posting 40 catches for 604 yards and six touchdowns (second among Sam Houston pass catchers) last season. Far and away, Ezzard’s best season came in 2018 when he recorded 40 receptions for 1,064 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Outside of the duo’s visits, Arizona was also reportedly scheduled to host Coastal Carolina tight end Isaiah Likely sometime this week.

The Cardinals’ wide receivers room currently features DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green, Rondale Moore, Antoine Wesley, Greg Dortch, Andre Baccellia and Andy Isabella.

Isabella, however, was granted permission this offseason to seek a trade.
